OK – I’ve given it a solid month since my last comment about this TV. Nothing has gone wrong, everything still works, and I’m getting rave comments from house guests – especially those who are still back in the TV in a box era. Its hard to get them to leave.
I’m seeing a number of the Samsung A550 models around. Thats an older model – the big diff is in the refresh rate with the 550 = 60 and 650 = 120. That makes a big, big difference in picture quality and depth of field. Many of my friends are comenting on the amouth of back detail they can now see in movies and regular TV shows that just didn’t show on box TV’s and older Plasma’s and LCD.
If you’re shopping for a new TV for the upcoming switch to digital HD you owe it to your self to give this set a look.
