The last in the series of “Video Boss” training videos is now posted. You may wonder why I’ve been pounding the table in favor of the “Video Boss” series since its clear that this is a product launch of a new training series.
Two things: First, I think video is rapidly becoming (if it hasn’t already) the prime marketing technique on the internet. It simply works better than anything else for all types of products and services.
Second, the first three videos in this series are not only the best example of the wide variety of things that can be done with a quality video but its also one of the best video training tools we’ve seen on web in some time. It covers the basics in a fun, informative way, that leaves you wanting more.
Don’t just take my word for it. Very video has made it to the Alexa Top 10 Hot Pages … meaning its getting massive buzz.
So, if you haven’t taken a moment to view these videos … do so now .. as the product launches today at 4pm Eastern. I don’t know how long the first 3 videos will be up. Here’s the Link.

Today, I watched a video about video (twice) that’s so hot it hit number 3 in Alexa Hot URLS. If you have an internet presence in any way, then you need to take a look. This will influence your thinking.
I followed up with the producer and learned that this is the first of four videos. The first three are all content about how to produce super quality videos (with tools most of us already have). The fourth is the sales pitch for a new video product. If you want to see the future of video on the internet and learn how it might affect your marketing and sales … click here and watch. I’d like to hear your comments.
Most of the so-called video I see on internet sites are actually Camtasia screen captures of Power Point slides with voice over. Lately, authors of these videos are totally leaving off the video control bar at the bottom so its impossible to pause, advance, or otherwise control the video. I don’t mind when the control bar is hidden until you mouse over it but when I’m left with no control other than leaving the page thats not a good thing in my book.
You need to have a really great opening and a smooth delivery if you’re going to use this technique to promote your product. What got me thinking about this was that I’ve been looking for a Health and Fitness program (unfortunately, I need to lose about 20lbs). When I turned on my compter this morning, Windows Live Messenger popped up with a featured fitness ad that got my attention. Clicking this, lead to a page and a video as described above…. It seems to me that if you’re selling something like a fitness product that it would be a good thing to show a picture of the product author, or product users, right upfront in your video… some sort of social proof that it works. So…. what do you think?
This Only Comes Around Once a Year so listen Up…..
If you do any video at all on the internet – business, marketing, political, green projects – this can add that extra dimension that seperates you from all others. Copying your audio tracks from your videos gives you a second way to reach your audience – via podcasts, internet radio, itunes, etc. How to do that is the question. The anwser is Podcast Secrets which is …..
A graduate course in podcasting but it starts at A and takes you all the way to Z and beyond. Along with video, I had been using audio on the internet for several years before I took this course last year – so I though I knew a thing or two. Wrong! This is absolutely the best documented, example driven eLearning course I’ve ever taken. Did I mention that its taught live! The good news is that you’ll learn an amazing amount just by listening to the preview call.
