Video Editors

If you’ve spent any time watching video on the web, I’m sure you’ll realize that 99% of them could use some serious editing. Personal videos for fun and entertainment are one thing but watching and listening to a business video, product tutorial, or promotion that includes body sounds (I’m putting this nicely), ringing phones in the background, and other inappropriate content will quickly turn off any potential prospect or client. A wide variety of editors make editing video both quick and easy.

If internet video is a part of your business prmotion then here are some video editors that help you record, edit, add a player, and upload your video to a web page.

1.  Windows Movie Maker -the best free video editor is already on your PC if you’re using XP or Vista. Just check your menu for it. Here’s a download link if its not there:

2.  Sony Vegas has a variety of Video Editing programs including Vegas Studio 9 and Vegas Pro which is their top end editor used for many TV and professional productions and also by many who are creating DVD content.   Both of these integrate tightly with Sound Forge which is one of the top audio editors.  Here’s the link to the Sony Family of video and audio editors. 

3.  MAC users also have a variety of video editors to chose from.  A popular choice is Apple iMovie which comes as part of the iLive package.
